Bespoke Keepsakes

BESPOKE MEMRORY BEARS AND ANIMALS

Bespoke Memory Bears and Animals are created from the garments that hold your most meaningful stories. Each one is cut, shaped, and sewn with intention, allowing the personality of your fabrics to shine through. Whether you’re preserving baby clothes, celebrating a milestone, or remembering someone you love, these keepsakes are made with deep care and respect for the memories they carry.

Every bear and animal is handcrafted by me, from start to finish. I work slowly and thoughtfully, taking time with every stitch, every seam, and every detail. No two keepsakes are ever the same, because no two stories are ever the same.

All measurements are approximate and taken from a sitting position.

  • Small: approx. 8 inches (20 cm)
  • Standard: approx. 16 inches (40 cm)

These ranges help ensure there is enough usable fabric for cutting, shaping, and including meaningful details.

  • Small Bear: 1–2 baby garments, or 1 adult garment, depending on size and motif placement.
  • Standard Bear: 4–6 baby garments, or 1–2 adult garments, depending on fabric type and layout.
  • Animals: like bears — usually 2–4 baby garments or 1 adult garment, depending on the animal chosen and the features you’d like included

If you’re unsure, I’m always happy to guide you based on the garments you have.

Memory Bears and Animals can be made from a wide range of clothing, including baby outfits, school uniforms, shirts, knitwear, dresses, pyjamas, workwear, and garments belonging to a loved one who has passed.

Where possible, I incorporate the features that matter most to you — pockets, embroidery, printed motifs, labels, buttons, or small marks that hold memory. These details help your keepsake feel familiar, personal, and deeply connected to the person or moment it represents.

We’ve worked with clients in retail, healthcare, logistics, finance, and more.

Sustainability is woven into every part of my process. I work slowly, intentionally, and with deep respect for the garments you send — using as much of each piece as possible and wasting as little as I can. Offcuts are saved for future projects, binding, or intricate details, and I avoid unnecessary cutting, so your fabrics are honoured rather than altered more than needed.

I reuse packaging wherever possible, choosing recycled or repurposed materials to protect your keepsake on its journey home. It’s never about the box — it’s about the precious item inside.

Every keepsake is made by hand, by me, using thoughtful, low‑waste methods. This gentle, mindful approach means your keepsake is not only meaningful but also created in a way that respects the planet and the memories held within your garments.

CUSHIONS & QUILTS

Cushions and quilts offer a comforting, practical way to preserve garments that deserve to be seen, held, and cherished. Each piece is created slowly and intentionally, allowing your fabrics to guide the design. Whether you’re honouring a loved one, celebrating a milestone, or gathering many memories into one place, these keepsakes are made with care, respect, and gentle craftsmanship.

CUSHIONS

Cushions are a beautiful way to showcase meaningful garments while creating something comforting and familiar. Each cushion is cut, pieced, and sewn with intention, using the details, textures, and motifs that matter most to you.

Square Cushions

  • Small: 12 x 12 inches (30 x 30 cm)
  • Standard: 16 x 16 inches (40 x 40 cm)
  • Large: 18 x 18 inches (46 x 46 cm)
  • Extra Large: 20 x 20 inches (50 x 50 cm)

Other Shapes

  • Rectangular: 12 x 20 inches (30 x 50 cm)
  • Heart: approx. 14 inches (36 cm) across
  • Body Pillow: approx. 20 x 54 inches (50 x 137 cm)

(All measurements appear in inches first, then centimetres.)

These ranges help ensure there is enough usable fabric for cutting, shaping, and including meaningful details.

  • Small Square: 1–2 garments, depending on size and motif placement.
  • Standard Square: 1–2 garments, depending on fabric layout.
  • Large Square: 1–3 garments, depending on motif size and garment type.
  • Extra Large Square: 2–3 garments, depending on how much of the garment you’d like included.
  • Rectangular: 1–2 garments, depending on motif placement
  • Heart: 1–2 garments, depending on fabric type
  • Body Pillow: 2–4 garments, depending on garment size and layout.

If you’re unsure, I’m always happy to guide you based on the garments you have.

QUILTS

Quilts bring together many garments into one warm, comforting keepsake. Each quilt is cut, arranged, layered with wadding and backing fabric, quilted securely, and finished with hand‑stitched binding made from leftover fabrics.

I do not work on quilts larger than a single size due to limited studio space.

  • Baby Quilt: approx. 35 x 45 inches (89 x 114 cm)
  • Small Lap Quilt: approx. 40 x 50 inches (102 x 127 cm)
  • Medium Lap Quilt: approx. 45 x 60 inches (114 x 152 cm)
  • Large Lap Quilt: approx. 50 x 65 inches (127 x 165 cm)

These ranges help ensure there is enough fabric variety for layout, balance, and motif placement.

  • Baby Quilt: 8–12 baby garments, depending on motif size and fabric type.
  • Small Lap Quilt: 12–20 garments, depending on layout and garment size.
  • Medium Lap Quilt: 20–30 garments, depending on motif placement.
  • Large Lap Quilt: 30–40 garments, depending on how much variety you’d like included.

If you’re unsure, I can guide you based on the garments you have and the quilt size you’re considering.

Sustainability is woven into every cushion and quilt I create. I work slowly and intentionally, using as much of each garment as possible and avoiding unnecessary cutting so your fabrics are honoured rather than over‑handled. Offcuts are saved for binding, patchwork, or minute details, and I design each piece with low‑waste methods in mind.

Quilts are finished with hand‑stitched binding made from leftover fabrics, ensuring nothing meaningful is wasted.
Cushions are cut thoughtfully to preserve motifs, textures, and features that matter to you.

I reuse packaging wherever possible, choosing recycled or repurposed materials to protect your keepsake on its journey home. It’s never about the box — it’s about the precious item inside.

Every cushion and quilt is made by hand, by me, with gentle craftsmanship and deep respect for both your garments and the planet.

BESPOKE FRAMED PIECES & SPORTS SHIRT FRAMES

Cushions and quilts offer a comforting, practical way to preserve garments that deserve to be seen, held, and cherished. Each piece is created slowly and intentionally, allowing your fabrics to guide the design. Whether you’re honouring a loved one, celebrating a milestone, or gathering many memories into one place, these keepsakes are made with care, respect, and gentle craftsmanship.

Framed Pieces

Framed keepsakes are a beautiful way to preserve garments with meaningful motifs, logos, embroidery, or intricate details that deserve to be seen every day. These pieces allow you to capture a moment in time — a tiny outfit, a favourite shirt, a special logo — and display it in a way that feels modern, clean, and deeply personal.

Each framed piece is created with care and intention. Your garment is pressed, stabilised if needed, and arranged thoughtfully so the most meaningful details sit proudly within the frame. I work slowly to ensure the fabric lies smoothly and the composition feels balanced and true to your story.

  • Mini: £35
  • Standard: £55
  • Large: £75
  • baby clothing
  • sports motifs
  • school logos
  • workwear badges
  • embroidered details
  • garments with small but meaningful features

These keepsakes are perfect for gifting, displaying in a nursery, honouring a milestone, or remembering someone special.

Sports Shirt Frames

Sports shirts hold memories of teams, achievements, seasons, and moments that matter. Framing them allows you to preserve those memories in a clean, modern, professional way.

Each shirt is carefully pressed, stabilised, and mounted so the colours, logos, and details sit beautifully within the frame. I take time to ensure the shirt is smooth, centred, and presented in a way that feels crisp and intentional.

  • Child: 70 x 50 cm
  • Mid: 77.5 x 58.5 cm
  • Adult: 80 x 60 cm
  • Adult (Large): 90 x 60 cm
  • football, rugby, cricket, or hockey shirts
  • team kits
  • milestone matches
  • memorial pieces
  • gifts for coaches, teammates, or family

Each framed shirt becomes a lasting tribute to the memories woven into the fabric.

Garment Statement

Very thick or bulky garments may not be suitable for framing, but I’m always happy to advise based on what you have.

If a garment is too delicate or too small for a bear or cushion, a framed piece is often the perfect alternative.

Meaningful Details

Where possible, I preserve the features that matter most to you — pockets, embroidery, printed motifs, labels, buttons, or small marks that hold memory. These details help your framed piece feel personal, familiar, and deeply connected to the person or moment it represents.

Sustainability at Sew Precious

Sustainability is woven into every framed piece I create. I work slowly and intentionally, using only the fabric needed to preserve your chosen motif or detail, and saving any remaining fabric for future projects or meaningful additions to other keepsakes.

I avoid unnecessary cutting, ensuring your garment is honoured rather than over handled.

Packaging is reused wherever possible, choosing recycled or repurposed materials to protect your framed piece on its journey home.
